Below are many frequently asked questions from the couples that have scheduled their wedding ceremonies and receptions at Waters Edge. If you can't find a question/answer below, please email us.

How much does it cost?

A.

Pricing is based on the total number of guests, the particular day scheduled for the event, and number of spaces selected.  Please email or call us to request a pricing summary or to receive a quote for a multiple-space booking.  Please call Diane (Associate Director) at 330-495-6921 to discuss specific package/pricing combinations.

What is contained in your contract?

Can we bring our own food? Do you cater?

A.

Do to liability issues, Waters Edge does not permit self-catering. We ask that you work with one of the vendors listed on our “pre-approved” caterer list. They have provided excellent food and service to our clients in the past.  Click here for our list of pre-approved caterers (PDF).

I really want to have my event outside, what happens if it rains?

A.

Our goal is to make your day perfect. Unfortunately we cannot control the weather. Our backup plan would be to relocate your ceremony to our Chapel in the Pavilion.

May I use candles as part of my decoration plan?

A.

Candles are not permitted inside any of our venues. The only exception would be a Unity Candle utilized as part of your ceremony.

Do you permit alcohol?

A.

Waters Edge allows alcohol to be poured for a maximum of five (5) hours only. All alcohol must be purchased through a Waters Edge package. Special servings of “Shots,” “Jaegers” or “Energy Drinks” will not be permitted. We are excited that this is going to be one of the most “special” days of your lives … we just don’t want it to be remembered for the wrong reasons by compromising your event or the safety of your guests.

Does the contract include a rehearsal?

A.

Due to our multiple-day use of the Waters Edge Facility over weekends, wedding rehearsals are typically scheduled for Thursday evenings between 5-8p for a 1 hour period.

Is it possible to have my ceremony on site?

A.

Waters Edge does promote having ceremonies on site. There is an additional site set-up cost to provide chairs at a selected natural site area.

When does our rental period begin and end? Can we come in the day before to decorate?

A.

Your rental period begins at 9a and ends at 1a the day of your event.  All decorating and clean-up must fall within these hours. Waters Edge hosts events on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. This does not permit for “early” decorating. A discounted rate is available to secure the event space the day before a scheduled event under our Signature and Premier packages.

Are the areas around the vineyard and pond limited to the Great Hall and/or Pavilion?

A.

Any outside “green” area is considered common grounds. Everyone is welcome to enjoy these areas.

Are your venues temperature controlled?

A.

All of our indoor spaces are heated and air-conditioned.

Do you set up the tables and chairs?

A.

We provide chairs and their setup for site ceremonies at all green areas. We also set up all tables and chairs for your reception.

Do you offer security?

A.

Yes, we are required to when alcohol is served, which is at pretty much every event. So we just provide it as part of our packages.

When do the leaves turn at Waters Edge Vineyard?

A.

If we could predict that exactly, we'd be better than the weather man. But in general, leaves start to turn the second weekend of October. Fall foliage sometimes remains through the second weekend of November. However, there are no guarantees — Ohio weather is so unpredictable!
